DUNCAN WONG

Duncan Wong is a celebrated vinyasa yoga pioneer, and the father of Warrior Flow yoga.

His system YogicArts was founded in 1968; the day he was born. Carved from a life of adventure, curiosity; and a passion for a deeper experience.

Born into a family of yogis, mystics, and artists, Duncan began a life of movement in a dojo at age seven; a path that led him to become a fighter, a yogi, a teacher; and ultimately a healer, and a father. In essence: an eternal student of life in service to humanity.

He debuted as the first man on the cover of Yoga Journal magazine in January of 1995 that launched the global Ashtanga Yoga wave; and the rest is history.

He devoted his twenties to a Buddhist warrior-monk and lived in his temple dojo training for a decade. During that time he trained extensively in the art of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga under the premier Western masters; a practice that led him to India, New York, Europe, Asia, and ultimately an extensive 20 year world tour.

After decades of training and teaching countless yogis, dancers, athletes, celebrities, supermodels, influencers, and culture bringers in the healing fields; he became known as the father of Warrior Yoga; a path of health, regeneration and personal optimization.

He now spends his time between supporting his twin sons, and welcoming seekers on the path of Self discovery, at his Kyoto forest temple home retreat.

His own path of growth and recovery has allowed him to fine-tune a system for aging yogis and warriors with skin in the game. Specializing in the field of injury prevention, and a mindful approach to a balanced way forward.

All with a desire to achieve a self paced personal goal of greatness are most welcome.
